Professional Glass, Window, and Shower Door Services in Fox Lake, IL

We are proudly based in Fox Lake, IL.

Diamond J Glass, Inc. provides residential and commercial glass services to communities throughout Lake County and McHenry County.

In most cases, we can replace just the broken or fogged glass pane without forcing you to buy an entirely new window frame. This process—often called glass-only replacement or pane replacement—saves you significant money while restoring your window’s structural integrity and energy efficiency. We will inspect your frame first to ensure it is stable enough to support the new glass.

The installation itself typically takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on whether you choose a standard slider or a heavy, custom frameless glass enclosure. However, because custom shower doors must be measured precisely, down to the millimeter, once your bathroom tiling is 100% complete, fabrication takes time. From the initial measurement to the final installation day, the turnaround time is usually 2 to 3 weeks.

That cloudy or milky look between your glass panes means the window's perimeter seal has failed. This allows moisture to seep into the air gap, causing condensation that cannot be wiped away. You don't need a whole new window; Diamond J Glass, Inc. can fix this by simply replacing the insulated glass unit (IGU) within your existing frame, restoring your clear view and insulation.

Yes! We provide free, transparent estimates for our glass doors, windows, custom showers, and repair services. For many projects, we can give you a rough estimate over the phone or via email if you provide approximate measurements and photos. For complex jobs like custom frameless showers, we will schedule a brief on-site visit to get exact measurements before providing a final quote.

• Frameless doors use heavy, thick tempered glass (usually 3/8" to 1/2" thick) secured directly to the wall with discreet clips and hinges. They offer a seamless, high-end, ultra-modern look that makes bathrooms feel larger.

• Semi-frameless doors feature a metal frame around the main perimeter of the shower opening. Still, the actual swinging or sliding door panel has no metal trim around the glass edge. This gives you a sleek look at a more budget-friendly price point.
